My African Mask

I'm not putting a picture on here because I'm bringing a real mask to class.  The mask that I'm going to show was made in south africa.  The mask is shaped like an oval shape.  The mask is made out of really hard and rich wood, the color components are black, and a dark brown.  There is two wholes for the eyes and one for the mouth. 

Proverb "Don't tell the man who's carrying you he stink's."

My first thought on this proverb was really simple because if you do tell the man who is carrying you he stinks the most likely thing he will do is drop you and say I'm not carrying you any more.  After thinking about the proverb I thought of another theory.  Since you were born your parents have been tacking care of you, feeding you, keeping you safe, and helping.  Imagine if you told them that they sick at what they are doing and you don't want them to do what their currently doing, they might say hey now you are on your own, and I'm not going to help you in life any more.  This is what I think this proverb means.

  Women and men have different strengths and weaknesses.  But, who will be the best leader? I believe in a time of crisis, men may react more instinctively in a serious situation.  On the other hand, women take time and care at thinking in important situations.  Men would probably have better instincts during a time of war, for they also would have better strategies and don't have the fear.  When it comes to war it is bad some times because emperors can become blood thirsty and want war. 
          In a time of peace women may have a bigger heart and care more about their people.  Also women may be better at speaking and arguing with other nations in the world.  Over time men may have become too numb to feelings and emotions, so they don’t really care about everything.  Men will some times disagree with their wifes because maybe their emotions aren't the same as the wife.
          Sometimes women may not show their aggression in time of war and that could be a problem, because the enemy could attack without warning and the women could have a hard recovery.  The other bad thing that any ruler could do is, sometimes men and women both could just go for the glory and for the riches, and power.  With women it is very easy for them to become very selfish of themselves and it could ruin a good leadership.  It is very hard to say if a woman could be a better ruler than a man, but I do believe that men and women could be equal rulers.
